The most telling parts of last night’s results were during the speeches.

McCain mentions Barack Obama in a favorable way, trying, and failing, to back away from some of the damage his campaign has done, and the Republican crowd boos and hisses. Every time.

Obama mentions McCain, and the Democratic crowd claps and whistles.

Seems pretty clear why your party is falling further and further out of power.

I think the near childish divisiveness of Frank’s post here is another reason the Republican age is waning, JM. For the sake of maintaining the two party system, I hope those more mature, and with more to add to the narrative than Rep. Frank are the future leaders of the GOP, and people like Rep. Frank fade into their own paranoid, irrational irrelevance.

    Gentlemen:

Please allow me for a couple of brief moments some minor “federalistic” disappointment.

Also, please remember that I’ve allowed unrestricted “dialogue” on MY on-line, personal journal (blog) and that I’ve made no attempt to restrict or eliminate YOUR comments…on my on-line journal.

Please, let’s continue to recognize that our differences are what create this wonderful experiment we call a Representative Republic. And, free speech anywhere…including my on-line journal…is what we’re all about! Cool?! Cool.

That said: Congratulations to both of you…and…our new Commander-In-Chief Barack Obama. This is certainly an historic moment.

I am overjoyed that Rep. Frank was re-elected. My one peeve is that I had to go searching for who to vote for instead of his opponent. I would have been glad to support his campaign had I known who he was. I was so relieved to find a supportive, openminded candidate to vote for. We are a 3-school family ourselves. Thank goodness for carpools. School choice is all about finding the best option for your child, not forcing them into a one-size-fits all system that defies all economic rules. Best of luck to you, sir. And, I’ll try to restrain myself from commenting on the one civilized moment of the Dem’s campaign.

I’d like to point out that Jason was the rude one, I was just being pithy. :)

Typical jasonthe, making absurd accusations and attacks under the premise that the internet is his free speech zone. I would say that his diluted entitlement is evidence of his irrational irrelevance.
