    But as Rebecca Walsh wrote today does it hold to the “beloved conservative principles of local control and hands-off government.” No, it is Big Brother, telling the voters, yet again, that they are incapable of electing proper municipal and county leaders who then provide the services the community desires with the resources the community provides through the community tax base. We “don’t need no stinking” commission to micro manage elected officials.

    Oh, come on–my post was about H.B. 76, not 75, and you know it. I’ve read H.B. 76 very carefully, and it appears to do exactly what I said it does — hence the quotations in my post — which is probably why the Trib and others are in agreement about why it’s a bad bill.
