Approaching Critical Mass

The need for proven, safe, and efficient alternative power generation in Utah (and the United States) is at critical mass.

In support of the implementation of responsible nuclear energy policy was the Deseret Morning News’ Editorial Page this morning.  Click HERE to read article.

In an effort to suspend portions of Utah lawmakers’ 2006 responsible energy initiative (Rep. Roger Barrus, Chief Sponsor), which includes the continuing investigation into the utilization of nuclear energy, Governor Jon Huntsman, Jr. signed a personal pledge with Governor Schwarzenegger, to increase green reliance and awareness. (See also, recent statement by Huntsman.)

Not part of the green package–responsible nuclear energy.

SPEND AN EVENING WITH YOUR LEGISLATORS!

Beginning September 13, 2007, you will have an opportunity to spend an evening with your Legislators throughout Utah County discussing current issues.  The following is a list of times and places currently scheduled for these get-togethers:

  • OREM – September 13, 2007, 7pm at the Orem City Council Chamber, 56 North State Street.
  • LEHI – September 18, 2007, 7pm at the Lehi City Council Chamber, 153 North 100 East
  • PLEASANT GROVE – September 27, 2007, 7pm at the John Hancock Charter School (Brick Building), 125 North 100 East
  • AMERICAN FORK – October 2, 2007, 7pm at the American Fork Senior Center, 54 East Main Street (Park in lot behind the building)
  • PROVO – October 11, 2007, 7pm at the Provo City Council Chambers, 351 West Center Street
  • SPRINGVILLE – October 16, 2007, at 7pm at the Springville Senior Center, 65 East 200 South
  • SPANISH FORK – October 25, 2007, at 6pm at the Spanish Fork Public Library, 49 South Main Street
