  1. House Staffer trapped in a Senate Staffer's body Says:

Too bad it wasn’t named for ‘Lake Utah’, then it would be the University of LUV.

  2. Tom Grover Says:

    Rep. Frank,

How can Utahns be assured that the addition of UVU will not lead to more pronounced underfunding among the other institutions of higher learning in Utah?

  3. Jacob Reynolds Says:

I am all for more education. Having graduated from BYU though I will say this: I had many friends that went to both UVSC and to BYU. They decided on UVSC because of the different environment. I’m not talking religion, I’m talking strictly on a classroom, student/teacher, interaction level. These friends felt they got more out of their UVSC education than their BYU education. Will UVU lose the learning benefits associated with a state college?

By the way, I’m in favor the move to a University. I’m just wondering if this has been looked into.
