Just thought I’d let you know, the eyes of the country are upon you !

Rocky Anderson, in his normal crude attitude, stated that the violence at Trolley was because of the proliferation of guns in our society. That is irresponsible, idealogical, and ignorantly naive. Mayor, guns still do not kill. Stupid idiots with illegal guns kill. You, mayor would rather see the criminal go free and incarcerate the inanimate tool of the misdeed. Gun laws only restrict law abiding citizens. In fact, all laws only work to keep the law abiding as law abiding!

There are more than 20,000 gun laws in the U.S. The Trolley shooter ignored these laws and in fact was not legally able to possess the handgun at all.

For those who would criticize Concealed Weapon Permit Holders, please consider the following thought——-”We will never know what would have or could have been done to stop or slow the carnage at Columbine there had been one or more permit holders at the school when Harris and Klebold went on their rampage. But we do know with absolute certainty what happens when there is not.”

Thankfully, it just so happened a person with a concealed weapon was at Trolley Square and he just happened to be a peace officer. What if he hadn’t been there? The carnage took less than three minutes. 99% of shootings are over with in less than three seconds.

Trolley has a “no weapons” policy. How many people left their weapons at home or in their vehicles because of the mall rule? As great as our officers are, they cannot be everywhere and as such, I will be responsible for my own primary protection. I am the first responder. Law enforcement is normally the second responder.

Since the shooting, I have had numerous people at the Capitol ask about how to acquire a permit. No one has said anything negative. The only place I’ve seen negativity is in the press who loves to pander to the Anti-gun groups. But oddly, even press members have been relatively positive with me on the gun issue. Maybe because I have offered to hold a media class on concealed weapons? Perhaps.

I had a teacher in high school that would automatically give papers an “F” if someone tried to be funny or creative and ended sounding stoopid.

Mullen is the most sanctimonious person in Utah, and that’s quite an accomplishment.

I am glad that Mullen left the Tribune and will now fade into obscurity. The Tribune is a s(t)inking ship anyway.

Mullen’s law: do not mention guns on your blog one month BEFORE or after a shooting. OK, Holly, please give us one month warning before the next shooting.

And why do all of these anti-gun folks always have to make references to the size of a man’s unit? It sounds like THEY are the ones with the Freudian obsession, not the gun owners.

Gosh, not only did you neglect to tell us who specifically is carrying, but you didn’t tell us whose gun is biggest!

I’m not interested in a debate about whether easy access to weapons and ammo were at the heart of the Trolley massacre.

I’m calling for a little decorum and perhaps a lock on your testosterone levels at least until these five victims are buried.

Shame on you.
