Welcome Chris Herrod — Whew!
2007 at 12:27 am | posted by Rep. Craig Frank 1 comment
This afternoon (Thursday) Chris Herrod was chosen by Republican State Party leadership to replace retiring House Majority Leader Rep. Jeff Alexander (District 62-Provo). Chris’ name alone will be sent (according to current statute) to the Governor for appointment.
CONGRATULATIONS to Chris for running a successful campaign! As a member of the Utah County Legislative Caucus, I’d like to extend to Representative-Elect Herrod my confidence and support. We’ll see you Saturday Morning at 8 am–sharp.

No kidding. That was close. It’s bad enough that the Utah Legislature is full of liberal Republicans who have never been Democrats (Allen, Mascaro, Menlove, Hunsaker) but it would be even worse if the Utah Legislature started filling up with liberal Republicans who actually were Democrats (John Curtis).
John Curtis is an opportunist. Maybe he run as a Green Party candidate next time.
