You can't even compare the two. I have met both, like both, and respect both- but when it comes to intelligent, pragmatic solutions on the issues that face Utah- then Rep. Matheson wins hands down. I'm a lifelong Republican but, I will vote for Matheson and so would anyone who looks at person over party. I’m sorry- but LaVar Christensen doesn’t hold a candle to Congressman Matheson. The rebels would be screaming for a ceasefire in days. Christensen can speak for hours without reaching the end of the first sentence. Bush knows about this. House rules prevent Christensen from speaking on the floor after 6 pm on the last day of the session to make sure that there will be time to respond to one of his questions before the clock runs out. Which would you rather put up with if you had one day to spend in SLC: one of Orrin's sappy songs or one of Christensen's marathon speeches?
